Yesterday the fabulous Ray Duffey the wood instructor here at Penland stopped by with his students for a demo in pewter casting. Having previously experimented with pouring directly into wood I thought they might see potential for their work. I LOVE collaborations and enjoy when other artists and students get as excited as I do about material possibilities. Looking forward to seeing the results!
