Fork of July 2016

Penland holds an annual 4th of July parade and fireworks display which is open to the local community and visitors alike. Participation by class instructors and students is strongly encouraged to populate a parade with some form of float.....pretty much anything goes! The metals crew decided on the theme of Fork of July in deference to the nature of the class (utensils).

We collaborated with the wood guys to create a trophy which was won by the textiles class for Most Creative Float. Well now, when I say we...I helped with design and Boris did the metalworking!
