about me

I am a jewellery designer, curator and educator with over 20 years experience in the field.

I spent several years in the US studying and teaching, I returned to Ireland in 2006 to take up the position of Head of Metals at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin. I am currently the Administrator for Continuing Education in Art and Design (CEAD) at the college. My workshop is in my hometown of Derry. I continue to exhibit internationally.

I have recently curated the exhibition CultureCraft - Culture in the Making in response to Derry being the inaugural UK City of Culture in 2013. Thirty six of Ireland's leading craftspeople/craft makers were invited to contemplate the notion that one's culture has an impact beyond sentimentality and to create a piece of work in response to this reflective investigation. This exhibition was officially opened by President of Ireland Michael D Higgins in August 2013 and toured to the National Craft Gallery, Kilkenny Ireland (Jan-Mar 2014).
