I have arrived at Penland!..... and to use the vernacular, I am totally psyched to be here and privileged and overwhelmed all at once!

I want to share the experience from start to finish and so am going to try really hard to update the blog every night with a progress report.

So I thought I would kick off with a video exploring the metals studio especially for anyone (like me) who has ever contemplated the idea of coming here.

For the next two weeks we are a team of three: Boris, Lydia(our studio assistant)and myself. I am looking forward to seeing how it evolves...there is so much talent in the room. Oh yeah....did I mention that we have three metals professors from various US colleges taking the class! But more on that later....
